Tuition for the full 5.5 years. Every veterinary college in Karnataka is a government institution under KVAFSU, so there is no private-fee route in the state — roughly ₹20,000–35,000 a year for everyone.

Fees change every year and differ by college — confirm with the college before paying. Scholarships can cover much of this.

SSLC through to leadership.

1. 1Foundation · 1 Year🎓 SSLC — Class 10Finish Class 10. Your marks decide which colleges and subject combinations are open to you next.
2. 2Stream Selection · 2 Years🔬 PUC — ScienceTwo years of pre-university study in the Science stream. This is where you prepare for the entrance exam.
3. 3Entrance Exam · Exam year📝 NEET UG / KCET (veterinary counselling)Entry to B.V.Sc & A.H. is through NEET UG / KCET (veterinary counselling). NEET UG is run by National Testing Agency (NTA) and leads to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, B.Sc Nursing and notified allied health courses. KCET is run by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) and leads to Engineering, farm science, nursing and allied courses in Karnataka. Dates change every year — always confirm on the conducting authority's official portal.
4. 4Degree · 5.5 Years (4.5 + 1 yr internship)📘 B.V.Sc & A.H.Veterinary Science: 5.5 Years (4.5 + 1 yr internship). You can specialise in Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Surgery, Animal Nutrition, Livestock Production and more.
5. 5First Job · After graduating💼 Veterinary DoctorCommon starting roles include Veterinary Doctor, Livestock Development Officer, Poultry / Dairy Consultant.
6. 6Higher Studies · Optional🎯 M.V.Sc (2Y)You can continue with M.V.Sc (2Y), PhD Veterinary Science, Specialisation in surgery or medicine.
